Hello from D.C.
This new dbase might be of interest to list members.
Early this afternoon a new interactive mapping dbase debuted from FEMA.
It appears to be full of data and utility.
HazardMaps.Net
http://www.hazardmaps.net
From the site,
"Hazardmaps.net is a public on-line, interactive mapping resource for
multi-hazard planning and management efforts. It is developed and
maintained by FEMA to address the needs of many organizations and agencies
for immediate and continuous access to comprehensive natural hazards data
as well as to data supporting natural hazard assessment and planning."
Also from the site,
The two main components of Hazardmaps.net are:
*The WebGIS Atlas: an interactive mapping resource, and
*The Data Clearinghouse: an extensive data archive that allows free
uploading and downloading of data.
Have fun exploring!
cheers,
gary
