However in a different thread most if not everyone seemed to agree that the
mixed content model is a bad thing. I suppose if it really is a bad thing,
we'll change it (though very reluctantly, since we spent alot of time crafting
these definitions asuming mixed content).
So that would mean, instead of:
<title>
<article>The</article>
MODS test record example.
</title>
It would need to be:
<title>
<article>The</article>
<restOfTitle>MODS test record example.</restOfTitle>
</title>
So if you don't have an initial article:
<title>
<restOfTitle>MODS test record example.</restOfTitle>
</title>
A number of you have spoken passionately against the mixed content model but I
still don't understand why it's bad. Since it clearly allows easier markup,
the argument must be that it's difficult to implement. But why?
