Hi,
I know I have post this question before, but I am eager to get a good
understanding of this matter.
I still have some questions concerning the Audio Visual Extension Schemas
proposed
for use in the Library of Congress. These Schemas contain information
specific to multimedia files (audio, video, images,...). But the MPEG-7
Standard does likewise. Is there any relationship between the AV Extension
Schemas and the MPEG-7 (Multimedia Content Description Interface) Schemas ?
Is there anyone who has experience in combining the METS and MPEG-7 standard
(if the combination of these two standards has been considered at all) ?
Please, don't get me wrong, I'm not doubting the quality of the AV Extension
Schemes, nor am I pleading for the use of the MPEG-7 standard. I am just
trying to master this matter...
Thank You in advance,
Kind regards,
