Hello EAD list,
Some of you have received surveys on archival descriptive practices from
me over the past few weeks (or days in some cases). This message is to
those individuals who received surveys in this initial sample.
There are two points to this message. First, the original due date was
today (July 22) and I am extending the due date until August 5, 2002 due to
mailing delays that affected many of you.
Second, I want to encourage all of you to fill out the survey. Each
response counts. Every effort has also been made to ensure that only one
person per insittution received the survey. If more than one person in
your instituion received the survey, the person most closely involved in
the implementation of descriptive techniques should complete the survey. I
realize that the survey is long, but I wanted to look closely at the
dynamics behind the adoption and implementation of various descriptive
techniques. And, this was difficult to do in a shorter survey. Your
response is appreciated and if you have any questions, please contact me
directly.
