I haven't had time yet to make sense of the index discussion, but I need help
here: Why would '?' mean unanchored?

http://lcweb.loc.gov/z3950/agency/zing/srwu/cql.html says that '?' masks zero
or one character.  Did you mean '*' ?
I thought so at first but then I saw other messages with the '?' .
