FLICC Meeting Announcement MA2003-2
Taxonomy Tools--10/30/02
Have you heard and read about sophisticated taxonomy software, but
aren't quite sure how it is used? Have you heard sales pitches at
conferences but can't quite connect your information services operations
to the functions being demonstrated?
Join users of three different taxonomy software tools--Nstein, Quiver
and Recommind at this lunchtime discussion to hear about their
implementation experience at the American Psychological Association
(APA), Pepsi and the National Library of Medicine (NLM). Hear what
others are doing in their libraries with this new technology and bring
your questions so that you can consider possible applications in your
own agency.
