Hi Elizabeth.
Judy and I have reviewed the draft and it looks wonderful. We have a few
changes to suggest, but it is sooooo neat to see it in near-final form. Here
are our ideas:
*We sent you graphic organizers that had two different fonts for titles. It
would probably be best if they all had the same typography.
*We had trouble going from step 1 to step 2 without going back to the
teachers guide. that could be us, but we wanted to let you know in case it's
a glitch.
*As we looked at the sample home drawings, we felt they should be larger. (It
looks so different this way!)
*In the overview, "often overlooked" should be "often-overlooked."
* In resources, pano photos should be deleted.
*teachers guide, procedures step 2 -- should be "learn to differentiate
between architectural styles"
*step 4 -- "write to children who live in their community in 2103" seems a
neater way to express the thought we were trying to get across.
*nothing comes up when teh link for the letter rubric is clicked (again, this
could be us)
*On the overview page -- and all others it seems -- "lesson plan" sends users
to the learning page rather than to our lesson. we thought it might be more
helpful if it sent users to the lesson plan in question.
*Also, it seemed that "teachers guide" could be in a more intuitively obvious
place, but we don't have a suggestion about that.
This is Part One. There will be another email with further suggestions.
One big question: do you know what the final url for our lesson will be? we
thought it would be nice to be able to share it at the NMSA conference in
Portland on Thursday even if the lesson itself isn't quite available.
Thanks for all your help. This is so exciting!
Elizabeth (and Judy)
