What's wrong with it?
The only thing at all wrong with it is that the individual bits of the
query don't get parsed by the SOAP parser so instead of converting from
Object into local query you're converting from XML into local query.
But if you want to do it that way, then run a parser over it that converts
into objects. Not hard to do, and probably comes with your XML library
anyway in the form of the DOM.
