Gerald, this came in while I was replying to you. The first thing we will
do is select two finding aids for the test batch and start compiling vendor
markup instructions for them.

Subject: EAD 2002 DTD released
EAD users:
As mentioned in a couple recent emails, the 2002 version of the DTD is now
available at the official Library of Congress EAD web site:
http://lcweb.loc.gov/ead/. The 2002 Tag Library is also available in HTML
format on the site.
As the DTD was being finalized this fall, a few changes were made that are
not reflected in the hard copy Tag Library that was published by the Society
of American Archivists last August (and we caught a couple typos!). While
the online version of the Tag Library reflects the changes made, those of
you who have purchased hard copy will want to take a look at the
Changes/Errata page on the web site.
On behalf of the Working Group, I'd like to wish everyone a safe and jolly
holiday, and a happy and prosperous 2003!
Kris
