In terms of clairvoyance and telepathy, there lots of that sort of thing in
the novels of Marie Corelli which were published from the 1890s through the
early 1920s. While she was immensely popular at one time, most of her
novels are exceedingly painful to read nowadays, Her "The Sorrows of
Satan" (1895) was reprinted by Oxford Univ. Press in 1998. Her novel "The
Master Christian" about the return of Jesus in a non-apocalyptic setting is
fairly interesting though very long and tedious in parts.
