I perhaps didn't phrase my criticism correctly.
The film doesn't show us that Chris and Rheya are in love with each other. It
doesn't show us what they see in each other. It doesn't show us what made each
integral to the other person's life.
It simply tells us "They're in love" and expects us to accept that.
I can take a lot of things as a given in a film, but when I'm supposed to
invest emotions into the characters of a film and then react accordingly to
what happens to those characters, the film needs to give me a better reason
for doing so beyond "Because I said so."
