Ethnologue:
INGUSH [INH] lang, Russia, Europe, Uzbekistan
HHJ comment, Fri, 25 Oct 2002
Both the proposed identifier (ing) and the Ethnologue identifier
(inh) are available. Because of the ongoing coordination with
Ethnologue I would suggest that we select "inh".
Ballot:
___ I accept/do not accept the alpha-3 identifier
"inh" for Ingush (if to be included)
Result:
The ballot passed unanimously on all points except the French name.
The inclusion of the identifier "ing" has been approved...
**** QUESTION: When/why the change from
inh to
ing
?
