Dear Gordon,
I operate a small-scale EAD conversion operation, which specializes in
markup that is attentive to the individual needs of repositories. We
have extensive experience of the EAD DTD, have done conversion for
various repositories at Yale, and are currently part of a major
conversion project at the Houghton Library at Harvard. We have been
successful in winning business from institutions who find they have a
significant work to do to get their finding aids into the shape they
want after they come back from large vendors such as APEX. I would be
happy to discuss your conversion options, and Leslie Morris at the
Houghton Library would be able to speak to the service Houghton have
received from us.
With best wishes,
David Clough.
