I'd add another thing I've found personally rewarding -- I've talked to
our reference librarians about SACO, shown them examples of the headings
or cross-references we've contributed, and encouraged them to let me know
when they perceive the need for a new heading or cross-reference. Several
of them have taken me up on this, and I've been very pleased. They get to
help influence the development of LCSH, they see that catalogers (and LC)
are working to keep the vocabulary current and useful, and they are less
likely to just gripe about LCSH (at least to me!).
