Helge, your friend it wasn't the Vincent Price movie
WAR GODS OF THE DEEP (British title: CITY UNDER THE
SEA), which wasn't a good movie anyway.
Let's see, perhaps its CAPTAIN NEMO AND THE UNDERWATER
CITY; CITY UNDER THE SEA or WARLORDS OF ATLANTIS.
Mostly likely the latter, as that has a period
setting.
