Hi,
We use a little program from Professional Software called Serial Control
System. It started out as a DOS program also but has been upgraded to work
on Windows 2000.
The last update I had says it costs $1,200. It might be a little more than
that by now. We really like it. We went with this product because it
would handle our routing slips the way we wanted them to look. It is easy
to maintain and the check-in process is simple. The hardest part is
putting in the data on your journals to get the system started. We have
been using it for almost 10 years.
