[Moderator's note: A FEDLIB message went out this morning announcing an
Open House at the Pentagon Library. Marcia Hampton of the Pentagon
Library sent the following additional information about access to the
building. - Steve]
When one does not have a Pentagon badge you have to get in the line to
allow soldiers at the entrance gates to see basic ID and do a bag check.
Then one enters through the visitors entrance, goes through a typical
airport screening (don't bring your pocket knife to work) - and ends up
in the guest lounge. Phones are available to give a call to our
Reference Center which is near the concourse - and we'll send an escort
that way.
Of course - we would welcome visitors any time...so Open House week is
not the only time we'd be happy to show colleagues around the new
building.
