The National Library of Medicine is seeking a Systems Librarian to work in the Collection Access Section of the Public Services Division at a GS-11 ($48,451.00 - $62,991.00) or GS-12 ($58,070.00 - $75,492.00). The incumbent will be responsible for monitoring complex systems used to provide interlibrary loan and onsite services, designing and testing enhancements to systems, preparing documentation and training staff to use new enhancements, developing web information pages for the public and staff use, and basic trouble shooting of section PC's. The potential candidate should possess the following qualifications: knowledge of database structure and server technology, ability to analyze data and articulate findings, ability to prepare documentation and train staff; demonstrated experience with Windows 95/NT, Windows 2000, MS Office Suite, and HTML. It is desirable that the potential candidate has knowledge and/or experience with Oracle, SQL, and Windows NT Administration. The potential candidate should have strong analytical, written, and communications skills.
