If my "new generation Z39.50" you mean SRW, then of course if it
supports update at all it _must_ be a new service. It's not as if we
have the option of pressing Z-classic's ES Update into service.

I would think the happy medium may just be to make this list easy to
join for anyone who wants to. Just get 'em to write to you.
