Lets get Scan organised first, then worry about the extended stuff :)
OTOH, I think that file/record management is not something which we should
concern SRW/U with. Then we need to get into authentication and such like
as well, which we've decided as being out of scope.
If someone wants to propose a system to work -in conjunction with- SRW/U
then we should certainly link to their project from the home page though.

Good question. Personally I'm in favour of open development at all
levels, and more people would certainly not slow down our recent
discussions. But everyone will have different ideas and we don't want to
lose focus.
