Dear colleagues,
As suggested over the JAC mailing lists, we need a meeting to re-visit the
- Working principles of ISO 639/RAs-JAC,
- Rules of procedure for conducting business of ISO 639/RAs-JAC,
as well as some issues that needs consideration already now, in order not to make unsatisfactory/deficient decisions with respect to future extensions of the 639 standard.
While Rebecca is investigating the possibility to hold a meeting of the JAC in Chicago (which is a big hub and, therefore, can be easily reached from all major airports of the world), on 21-22 November 2003 (which is just enough time before Thanksgiving day) I would like to ask the members of the JACVOTE list first,
[yes] [no] would you attend the JAC meeting, if in the USA (preferably Chicago), on 21 November 2003?
[yes] [no] would you be ready to continue on 22 November 2003 work on concrete items as defined by the JAC on the day before?
[yes] [no] would you prefer to hold the meeting on 20-21 November 2003?
- what items would you like to see on the agenda (in addition to the draft agenda propossed below)?
........................
- whom of the experts would you suggest to attend the meeting in addition to the JACVOTE members?
........................
Pls respond by Friday 20 June, 2003
