Training for Effective Subject Cataloging: A Preview of the ALCTS/Program
for Cooperative Cataloging Initiative

Subject cataloging is one of the most frequently requested topics in
surveys of continuing education needs for catalogers. ALCTS and the
Program for Cooperative Cataloging have developed a subject cataloging
workshop modeled on the highly successful Serials Cataloging Cooperative
Training Program. This presentation will provide a brief overview of the
ALCTS-PCC collaboration and will feature a preview of the training module
for applying LCSH subdivisions.
