BTW, BibX does something similar with a publication-status attribute.
Possible values include published, unpublished, in-press, in-review, etc.
This isn't a huge deal, and some of it is certainly not of concern to
libraries, but it'd nice to have this...
Oh, and my other question; about the ID attribute in the <mods> element
in comparison to the identifier element?
