I am not sure that we want to sign up the OAI people's confession of
failure, though:

        Results from the SRW 1.0 experimentation period
        indicated that a number of fundamental changes were
        necessary, and maintaining backward compatibility
        would have resulted in a compromised production
        release.

SRW v1.0 isn't _that_ bad, is it?
