Bill's example raises a question. Is it appropriate to return an
unsolicited XSLT reference in an SRU response? I'm not offended, but feel
like I should be. At any rate, we should probably have an official opinion
on the subject.
We put the xslt parameter into the request so that the client could control
the look at their end. What should the server do when no stylesheet was
requested? I don't see how a human is disadvantaged by having the response
formatted by the browser. If she really wanted to see the raw response, she
can always ask to view the raw source. If it was an application generating
the SRU URL, then it can always ignore the single line of XSLT reference.
