The Library of Congress shut down its computer servers as part of the
precautions taken for Hurricane Isabel. As a result, FLICC/FEDLINK
offices did not receive email on Thursday, September 18 through
mid-afternoon Friday, September 19. Depending on your own server's
properties, you may or may not have received an indication that a
message "bounced" during that period. As yet, we have no information
suggesting that any messages sent at that time will be recovered here.
Please do not hesitate to resend us messages from that period.
FEDLINK/OCLC members should be especially cautious concerning orders
placed via OCLC's home page from Wednesday September 17 through the
19th. The order confirmation process depends on emails sent to FEDLINK.
DO NOT REORDER. We are working closely with OCLC to ensure that any
orders lost are recovered, but if you think an order placed by your
institution could be affected, please send us information at
[log in to unmask] . Include your OCLC symbol and what you ordered.
We can then ensure that your order is among those being confirmed.
We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your cooperation.
