FLICC Orientations to Libraries and Information Centers Series

Archives Library Information Center
As part of a series of orientations to libraries and information
centers, FLICC is offering an opportunity for federal librarians to
become acquainted with the Archives Library Information Center (ALIC) in
the completely new Research Center in the National Archives building in
Washington, D.C. Closely allied with the Customer Service Center and the
genealogical reference unit of The National Archives and Records
Administration (NARA), ALIC has moved to newly-renovated space within
the building. The program will include
* Welcome
* History and Focus
* Tour of the new Research Center including ALIC
* Visit to the National Archives Rotunda, with the Charters of Freedom

The National Archives--Archives Library Information Center, Room G30,
700 Pennsylvania Ave. N.W., Washington, D.C.
Special Instructions
Please bring a picture identification--driver's license or employee
badge from another federal agency.
Directions
The National Archives is located at 700 Pennsylvania Avenue between
Seventh and Ninth Streets, N.W. The research entrance to the building is
located across Pennsylvania Avenue from the Archives/Navy Memorial Metro
stop for the Green and Yellow lines.
