We thought we understood what it meant to omit the abbreviated or full form
of the year from a conference heading which has been used as a main or added
entry for the proceedings cataloged as a serial, until we looked at the
entries for CRYPTO (Conference) in the LC database. Is the intent of the RI
really that we not add $d (1991 : $c University of California, Santa
Barbara) to the conference heading on a record for the 1991 proceedings
cataloged as a monograph, or does it just mean that '91 should be omitted
from the $a subfield?
Old heading: CRYPTO '91 $d (1991 ...
Current heading: CRYPTO (Conference)
