I'm happy with this too, but if they're mandatory then we should always do
the right thing and send a diagnostic. Otherwise they're not really
mandatory! (In fact, the parser should complain about missed mandatory
parameters in the request under SOAP)
Otherwise, as below, I'd prefer responsePosition to default to either 1
or server defined, and numberOfTerms to be mandatory.
