FLICC/FEDLINK is pleased to offer a series of cataloging workshops from
The MARC of Quality, a leading supplier of cataloging training and
documentation. Taught by nationally-known experts recognized as highly
effective trainers, the TMQ workshops provide intensive, in-depth
training emphasizing both MARC standards and current Anglo-American
Cataloging Rules.

March 3, 2004 MARC21 IN YOUR LIBRARY: An Introduction to MARC21 and
How it is Meant to Work in your Library Automation System (1 day)
Learn how to read a MARC record, and how to tell if some of the most
important elements of the record are present and correct.
March 4-5, 2004 JUST FOR COPY CATS (2 days)
This workshop provides an introduction to finding cataloging records
that you can copy, explaining some of the more obvious challenges and
some neglected database issues, with a brief look at essential editing.
April 13-16, 2004 BOOK BLITZ I: How to Make MARC Records that Really
Work (4 Days)
This is an intensive beginners workshop on bibliographic description,
providing access points, and copy cataloging.
July 8-9, 2004 BOOK BLITZ II (2 Days)
In this intermediate level workshop, students learn to deal with some of
the more complex cataloging rules.
November 18-19, 2004 AACR AND MARC FOR VIDEORECORDINGS (2 days)
In addition to core cataloging skills, this workshop covers the special
fields needed for description and access for videos, including video
DVDs.
