It's the huge expense involved. The budget Kennedy
gave NASA back then was large at that time, and would
be astronimical in today's money. Bush wants to
increase the budget slowly over a period of years. As
for myself, I'll believe it when I see it. I'm all for
space exploration, but I think we should pursue it
when the economy is in better shape. I also think Bush
is just trying to get more votes. His father made the
same promises when he was in office.
