The reason I don't like 'on/for the Web' is that it makes it sound like
yet another web search engine. As far as SRU goes, I've thought of it as
Search/Retrieve web service by URL, or similar. It's still a 'web
service', it just uses GET rather than POST.
That said, I'm not especially fussed either way so long as there's one
correct answer. :)
