Subject: To the Board of Trustees:
To the AFC Board of Trustees:
During the Board meeting on March 26th, 2004, March 24-25, 2005, was
put forth for consideration for our Spring Board meeting. Please let me
know if those dates work for you so that we can begin making
arrangements for that meeting. We hope all can join us, but we
realistically know that it's not always possible for all to come. If
you know you cannot attend, or that you can and will, please let me or
Peggy know.
Also during the Board meeting there was some discussion of various
fund-raising issues, i.e., the Madison Council and "1815"-like groups,
as well as the Archie Green Union, and what the Board might do to
increase support for either the Center or particular projects of
interest to the Board. We have begun to gather information and have met
with the Library's Development Office to flesh out some of the issues so
that we are not re-inventing the wheel, so to speak. As directed
during that meeting, we hope to have that information to Jane Beck
before too long.
There was also a request for information on Congressional Committee
Members. The easiest way to get this information I found was to go to
either the Senate or House websites. From there you have the most
accurate and current information and access to any Congressional member
by name, the Committees and Subcommittees, their membership,
organization, issues, schedules, etc., and can link directly to each
office and staff. If any additional information is required, please
let me know and I will try to answer your request appropriately.

Sante Fe is coming before you know it and we have begun planning the
schedule for that week (September 30-October 3). If you know now that
you will be able to attend--or won't--please let me know.
