Hello Fellows,
NECC (the National Educational Computing Conference) is just around the
corner! The Educational Outreach Team will be traveling to New Orleans
for this June 20 - 23 event. If any of you will be at the conference, we
do hope you will stop by and:
1. VISIT! We would love to see you and hear about the wonderful things
you are doing.
2. Help out in the booth for as long as you like (share your expertise
with the our exhibition hall booth visitors)
3. Do a 15 - 20 minute presentation in the booth. Choose one of these a
topics or one of your own that show how educators can use LC resources
to:
a. Teach Poetry and Language Arts
b. Make a Statement with Song
c. Get Technical ( how to link, bookmark, create powerpoints, etc.)
d. Create a Sense of Place (mapping)
e. Support Math and Science
f. Honor Women
g. Engage the K-4 crowd
h. OR...??
Please let us know if you can join us...and what you would like to do!
While we can't offer free trips or conference attendance we DO have FREE
exhibit hall passes for your use...plus new posters and a fantasitc
educational outreach brochure. Come on by!
