The EAD Roundtable meeting is scheduled for Saturday morning, August 7th
from 8:00 am - 9:30 am. This year's Roundtable meeting will highlight two
related emerging standards that will have an impact on EAD. Presentations
will be given by Daniel Pitti on Encoded Archival Context, and by Kris
Keisling on Describing Archives: A Content Standard. It should be an
informative and exciting Roundtable meeting! Please bring questions!
The EAD Roundtable is now accepting nominations for the position of
vice-chair/chair-elect for a ballot to be held during the Roundtable
meeting. Please forward names of interested individuals to me by July 24th
in order to have the name on the ballot. There will also be a chance to
nominate people from the floor at the meeting. You may either nominate
yourself or another. However, if you do nominate someone other than
yourself, please check with that person before submitting their name. Also,
according to the guidelines for roundtables, anyone holding the position of
chair or vice-chair must be an individual member of SAA.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
I'm looking forward to seeing everyone in Boston!
