Oh, please, a little less Microsoft bashing and hyping the
Semantic Web folks as inventing triples. Triples were
around before the Semantic Web folks were born. Chastising
Microsoft for using triples in like chastising Lotus for
using triples for the familiar spreadsheet concept. Heck,
triples have been around in computer hardware as memory
chips. You have the row strob lines, the column strob lines
and guess where the value comes out... the data lines. Triples
go back even further in mathematics. All the Semantic Web
folks did is take the existing concept of triples and apply it
differently, as did Microsoft for WinFS, as did Lotus for
spreadsheets, etc.
