Generally speaking, a cataloger would not note date of broadcast unless
it was a live event recorded off the air. That assumption seems to be
implicit in the discussion between two music catalogers. And the
distinction between an issue date for a published sound recording vs. a
capture date for either an archival sound recording or an off-air
recording is an important one in cataloging unpublished sound recordings.
