Mathias, as far as I know, no specific EAD sofwtare exists, and this is
quite reasonable: EAD is only a SGML/XML language amongst hundreds of similar
languages. I work both for the government and a private company, and I would
never suggest the effort of developing an EAD software, simply because this
only would be useful for EAD. However, an XML software would be useful for
EAD and a lot of different languages. I think we should request for vendors
XML tools integrtaed within archival software, in order to work both EAD
and these other languages (As user, I request this from my provider, and,
as provider, I provide this to users).
However, you can find a lot of useful tools -templates, converters, stylesheets,
cookbooks, etc.- over the EAD official website, and related links
