I've been combing the resources but haven't found any definitive document/documents, that enlightens me. Is there anything anywhere that suggests the types of cataloging tools (print or electronic) a technical services department should have? Or, is this a gray area left up to the individual departments? I've seen webpages galore from individual institutions but no official standards. As well, I've yet to find any study that has looked at this issue. I'm collecting resources for a grant and would really appreciate pointers to things I may have overlooked.
