We've been working with SRW and the ResearchPane service at the
University of Toronto using the YAZ Proxy with its support for SRW
against our local SIRSI database. We develop the research pane services
in ASP.net and make SRW calls to the YAZProxy. We've had some difficulty
getting the SRW WSDL file to work with SIRSI -- still sorting it out --
but SRU can fill the same role in the architecture since the data has to
be reformatted anyway before it can be loaded into the ResearchPane.
We'[ve had success with connecting to the D-Space SRW service via the
ResearchPane and have built other services for our local journal
collection under ScienceServer. I can put you in touch with our
programming team if you want more details.
