If it helps push OKI, IMS are looking at CQL and SRW as fundamental and
have started a Query SIG (where their use of Query is more our use of
Operation, as I understand it) Scott Wilson or Kerry Blinco are the
people to talk to here.

We're looking much more broadly than learning objects, looking at how
queries should be constructed and encoded for a range of purposes across
the areas that IMS cover, such as student data, course data, assessment
items and so on. We want to be able to have a coherent approach to
developing query grammars with a common subset of query syntaxes (CQL
being a good candidate), a joined up approach to developing query
vocabularies derived from the IMS data models, and to look at how we
manage encoding of queries for SOAP, REST etc., using SRW and SRU as a
potential model.

Also UPortal are looking to integrate SRW in the short term, which is part
of the SAKAI group along with OKI. Jim Farmer would be the person to talk
to for this, I believe.
