Interestingly enough, if the original recordings were cut before December
31, 1953...and if the seller was Canadian (or much of Europe) the copies
would be entirely legal. If a US resident bought them, he/she/it would be
breaking the law, not the seller. The copyright term for sound recording
in most places outside the US is 50 years...though that may change once
the first recordings by Elvis become PD...
