KNOVEL IS ABOUT ANSWERS TO SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING QUESTIONS
www.knovel.com. It is much more than just "eBooks." Knovel's
technology is unique because it aggregates full-text with databases in
an indexing structure that allows an unlimited number of eReferences to
work together. Knovel's goal is to answer SciTech questions, and is
backed by over 650 critically acclaimed resources from leading
publishers such as ASME, AIChE, McGraw-Hill, Wiley, Institute of
Physics, Elsevier, Royal Society of Chemistry, Kluwer, and the
Department of Defense.
KNOVEL IS ABOUT POWERFUL SEARCH TOOLS
Search results are quickly identified but more than that, many
references feature Interactivity. Clicking on a "knovelized" table,
morphs it into a table that looks and feels just like an Excel
spreadsheet. In addition, many references have interactive graphs,
equation solvers, and built-in spreadsheets.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
The Knovel representative is an experienced engineer who will do
example searches from several science and engineering sources. Audience
participation is encouraged and you will learn that Knovel is much more
than Acrobat PDF pages. It has unique searching functionality and
interactivity, and you will learn to use tools and techniques, such as:
Keyword searching vs. data searching
Interactive tables
Interactive graphs
Comparative graphs
Equation solving
Live spreadsheets
Chemical structure and substructure searching.
