Basic Serials Cataloging Workshop
Serials Cataloging Cooperative Training Program (SCCTP)
This two-day workshop is for those new to serials cataloging and
provides the basic principles of serials cataloging for original and
copy cataloging for print and electronic serials. The course focuses on
the CONSER (Cooperative Online Serials) core record, including
appropriate MARC 21 tagging, problem solving and decision making
relative to serials cataloging. This workshop is part of the Serials
Cataloging Cooperative Training Program (SCCTP), dedicated to increasing
the pool of knowledgeable serials catalogers and raising the quality of
serials records contributed to shared databases.

9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. There is no
entry to the Library of Congress prior to 8:30 a.m.)
