Trey,
I use Q-tips and 99% alcohol--not rubbing alcohol. Keep the alcohol out of
bearings and don't use it on rubber parts. I clean pinch rollers with
formula 409, usually in the wipe form for reel-to-reel, but a little can go
on a Q-tip for cassettes.
