Sorry, the bug/feature thing looked cryptic even to me after I posted.
What I'm trying to say is that there is complexity inherent in
supporting several vocabularies. Encapsulating them in elements in
different namespaces makes the complexity obvious; it doesn't add any
complexity of its own. An application (stylesheet, search engine, etc.)
that groks both MARC genre terms and Dublin Core is just going to be
more complicated than one that only handles one of them, period.

Right, so again you want to make the instance (and everything that
along with that; from editing to query to processing) more complex to
make the other stuff "easier"?
