Services Specialist for the Blind 1
The Iowa Department for the Blind is recruiting applicants for the following Merit-Exempt
position: Digital Recording Specialist, Iowa Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped.
Oversees in-home and studio-based digital recording programs designed to record books and
magazines for blind and reading disabled Iowans. Sets up equipment, provides training and
support to volunteers, evaluates narrations; manages and processes digital audio files.
Bachelor's degree preferred extensive knowledge of computer hardware and software required;
knowledge of digital recording processes a plus.
SALARY RANGE: Plan 000 - Grade 22: $30,305.60 to $43,680.00 annually.
HOURS: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
