Mary Dabney,
Do you think we should sign up for this session?

The following message has been posted to multiple listservs--my
apologies for the duplication.
The information below is intended for OCLC NACO Users.
Support for Passport for cataloging functionality and NACO
functionality
in CatME will end on May 1. Because the NACO functionality in CatME
is
closely tied to Passport, it became necessary that the NACO processes
for Passport and CatME be dismantled on the same date.
To assist you with your migration to Connexion, I'd like to invite you
to attend a Connexion NACO functionality overview session that will be
held on Thursday, April 7, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM US Eastern Time.
The session will be held over the Internet with a telephone conference
call, and you can attend it from your library. I realize that this
time will not be convenient for all of you, so the session will be
recorded and made available over the Internet so you can watch it at
your convenience if you cannot attend the session.
This session will focus exclusively on using the Connexion CLIENT. If
there is interest in a separate session on using the NACO
functionality
in the Browser, please let me know and we may offer a separate
session.
The functionality is the same in the Client and Browser, however, the
implementation does differ between the two applications.
Please let me know if you would like to attend this session. If
attending, please let me know how many different sessions will be
needed
for your institution. Due to the limited number of sessions
available,
we prefer that multiple staff from one institution gather together to
share one computer to log on to the Internet session. However, if
that
is not possible for you, multiple sessions can be used by an
institution.
The NACO functionality is incorporated into the Connexion client
software, so you can learn more about the basic client functionality
by
contacting your OCLC regional service provider for Connexion training.
