To those attending the Operations meeting this year, with apologies for any cross-posting:
This year's BIBCO/CONSER OpCo Meeting Dinner will be held at 6:30 PM on Thursday, May 5, at Aatish on the Hill, a Pakistani restaurant at 609 Pennsylvania Ave., SE. Aatish on the Hill is approximately five blocks from the Library of Congress, or one block from the Eastern Market Metro Station. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible.
The restaurant has arranged for a "prix fixe" dinner, which includes assorted appetizers, chicken, lamb, and vegetarian entrees, rice and Tandoori breads, and wine, beer, sodas, or mango lassis (please see the complete menu below). The price for the dinner is $38.00 per person, including 10% tax and 17% gratuity. Please note that wine, beer, sodas, or mango lassis are included in the dinner price; however, any other beverages, including coffee or tea, will be billed separately. Also note that the dinner service will be tableside (i.e. family style, not buffet), so attendees do not need to select their entrees in advance. Most importantly, none of the items on the menu will be unusually highly spiced.
This dinner will be an enjoyable event, and I hope you can join us on May 5. A group of LC Coop Team members and Serial Record Division members visited the restaurant to sample some of the items that will be offered at the May 5 dinner, and the food and atmosphere received high ratings.
Please respond to me no later than Thursday, April 28, indicating whether or not you will be able to join us for the dinner on May 5. I will be at the OpCo meeting on May 5, during the morning break and prior to lunch, to collect money and to provide receipts. All payments should be in cash, and should be made by 1:00 PM on Thursday, May 5. Correct change will be appreciated!
Thanks,
Paul Frank
