SUPERVISORY LIBRARIAN (ACQUISITION SPECIALIST)
The Congressional Research Service (CRS) seeks a Supervisory Librarian (Acquisitions Specialist) to serve in the Knowledge Asset Management Group (KAMG) within the CRS Knowledge Services Group (KSG). The KSG provides authoritative information research and comprehensive knowledge management practices to the CRS research community and Congress. This position is being offered at the GS-14 level ($88,369 - $114,882).
The Supervisory Librarian will be responsible for effectively managing Acquisitions Section staff including Librarians and Library Technicians in order to accomplish the work of the unit. The incumbent will be granted a high degree of independence, exercising considerable judgment in carrying out duties and responsibilities in accordance with industry best practices and CRS guidelines and policies. Primary duties include the development of acquisition strategies for acquiring materials in all subject area including law, social sciences, and public policy as well as in all formats including electronic resources, serials, government and congressional documents.
